Whilst we are travelling away from land (or communications) you can find out where we are and send short messages.
Valent is fitted with a tracking device that runs on the iridium network and operated by Yellowbrick. When we are moving this will transmit our position every few hours wherever we are in the world. You can access our tracker at:
When on the tracking page you will have an option to leave short public messages. We will also have the ability to post short messages/replies. Please remember these are not private and anyone viewing will be able to read them.
Whilst we are within a day or so of land, then our AIS system should also be transmitting real time updates as to our position. This can be accessed via a number of websites/apps – VesselFinder and Marine Traffic being just a couple of options.
